Members will soon be able to buy banners and donate to charity.
Soon the http://visitdowntownburlington.ca Burlington DownTown business directory site will be raising money for charity while giving an opportunity to BDBA member businesses to promote them selves more than just their free directory page. (* Note until this is launched this site will continue to generate no revenues and is a purely donated website designed to augment the DownTown Burlington small businesses marketing efforts UV: )
Plans have been set in place to @ some point in 2009 release the opportunity to buy the banner spaces to the top of the site and to the bottom right of the site while donating to local Burlington charities. Details and the technicalís are still being worked out, and staff will let us know when this new feature will be available, however soon (this year in 2009) any one who owns a business DownTown Burlington will be able to come to the site, upload their own banners that they themselves have created and then specify which charity that their banner buy funding will be directed to. This is an awesome upcoming new feature for 2009 and I am so stoked (excited) about it I had to share this with you.
This upcoming feature is going to allow a greater connection between the BDBA member business and their local benevolent community service organizations in Burlington all the while making visitors to our lovely fantastico DownTown Burlington more aware of all the great community service organisations that exist in Burlington as a whole. Burlington Ontario has many traditions one of which is unparallel and that is community service. Stay tuned to find out more about just how benevolent Burlingtonians are on a daily basis and with quite a bit of deliberacy indeed.
