Holiday Hours Begin Downtown Burlington

It appears from the website that you do not currently offer a "generic" gift card for retailers in downtown. That is unfortunate! I have a friend who recently moved into a condo downtown and I wanted to give her a card for Christmas. Now I am forced to choose one retailer. Have you considered this, as an association? Hi Linda,......We hope very much that the BDBA office it's board and their staff and General Manager, will indeed successfully implement a program that is available to all BDBA membership businesses that includes a gift card system. The BDBA do not currently seem to have at their disposal the resources or means necessary to foster programs that remain inclusive to all DownTown Burlington Business. The most common reasons articulated to my ear have been that of lacking in specific merchants by desire to participate in such systems and become 'involved', I would however gently suggest that MORE should be done by the BDBA. Also I know on several occasions indeed idea's, but also maps, directions and good advice has been provided to the BDBA GM + Staff to implement a gift card program easily. Again to my ear what has been articulated is one of political quandary and upper end leadership or BDBA board mandates all of which are not to be or at the 'problems In-Box' of the BDBA office staff themselves.....What will most likely happen is a group of savvy people one the cliques of merchants that exist DownTown Burlington will rally together and make a gift card that has a short list of participants. I hope that this does not occur and a fully open and inclusive program takes hold for the end benefit of the consumer moreover. Our DownTown needs to be at least as sophisticated and inclusive as our local mega global national malls like Mapleview Mall in the West end and Burlington Mall in the East end.
