BDBA in Burlington is seeking BUSKER-FEST for DownTown Bdot!
It's long overdue and by gosh something that we at VisitDownTown Burlington have been hoping to see for years upon years.
Finally the BDBA office General Manager as of early this January 2009 has started seeking information about hosting a BUSKER-FEST IN DownTown Burlington!
This exciting news is fresh off the digital realm and we'll do our best to keep you posted about new information as it comes to us.

As you quoted me and my position in the above blog I feel compelled to respond.
This blog and others like it do a supreme disservice to the members of the Burlington Downtown Business Association.
You are not a member, you have no right to offer unauthorized services to the BDBA's paying membership and you continue to falsely represent yourselves.
I will not validate in any way the claim that the BDBA is investigating a busker programme for the Downtown.
I will state however that you have done yourself, my members and others poorly but managing expectations for programming that have no basis in fact.

I think this is fantastic news! A Buskerfest in Burlington would be so much fun! Burlington already has a great music festival, rib festival, and other events... this would just add to all that Burlington has to offer! I think it would also bring business to the downtown, where it is sorely needed.
Just one question from reading the comment left by Brian Dean; he says that a company that is not "authorized" by the BDBA is not allowed to offer services to BDBA members. Is this right? It would seem to be a conflict of competition among companies that are seeking to provide services. From that comment, it would seem that this kind of policy could lead to conflict interest among services that are provided to the BDBA membership.
Am I understanding that comment correctly? Correct me if I'm wrong.

You SHOULD look into a buskerfest downtown. I am new to the downtown community and would love to see this happen.

I also found that there is a local Talent Agency specializing in Busker Talent, also located out of Dundas.
